As our Director, Data Analytics, you will lead an established team within OptumRx responsible for managing our network pharmacy pricing guarantees. You will deliver financial modelling and analytics related to the performance of effective rate pricing guarantees, covering all lines of business. You will lead collaboration with internal stakeholders to drive to best outcomes and ensure alignment with our pharmacy contractual obligations.
Within the role, you will build relationships with our partners and stakeholders across many functions, including Network Contracting, Client Contract Management, Finance, Legal and more.
We're looking for someone with excellent leadership skills, a quantitative mindset, a strong aptitude for complex problem solving, industry experience, and well-developed communication and technical skills.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for delivering on targets related to effective rate pricing guarantees, within network pharmacies, for Optum's Commercial and Medicare book of business.
• Lead a team of pricing analysts responsible for day-to-day pricing management and pharmacy performance tracking and analysis.
• Oversee the development of the relevant financial modeling and driving ongoing iteration as required, to maintain highest level of efficacy in projections.
• Deliver insightful analysis and scenario modelling to drive key business decisions.
• Lead the collaboration with internal teams to incorporate all relevant insights to modelling and subsequent pricing decisions. Leverage analytics and business information to provide solutions to complex problems.
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership and relevant stakeholders on emerging risks or trends.
• Proactively engage with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure appropriate application of contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Lead regular cadence update meetings with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in Data Analytics / Finance / Pricing roles or similar.
• SQL and/or Python, with the ability to perform effective and efficient querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
• Advanced MS Excel
• Experience in financial modelling or assessing financial scenarios
• Strong communication skills, able to work with stakeholders from multiple levels and disciplines
• Experience in working with and analyzing financial data to develop business insight and strategy.
• Complex problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work well and collaboratively, with multiple teams or departments for business growth or profitability goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex analytic results into meaningful insight, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand.
• The ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our Dublin or Letterkenny office is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering)
• Experience leading a team of data analysts
• Experience in managed health care or pharmacy benefit management
• Experience creating visualizations using Tableau or similar,
• Experience in MS Azure
• High energy, detailed oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure their quality and on-time delivery
• Self-managed, self-starter, able to work in rapidly changing environment
