JOB PURPOSE:

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
- Joint Business Plans: Develop and manage joint business plans with key local publishers to ensure first-mover access and competitive benefits beyond pricing.
- Media Trading: Support the media agency in securing competitive media pricing with media partners.
- Partner Vetting: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new and emerging partners to bring the best deals to Business Units (BUs).
- Agency Partner Management: Drive our agency partners to deliver high value in accordance with our Master Service Agreement through audit and savings workstreams.
- Media Strategy: Collaborate with the agency to develop channel strategies and innovate (e.g., video strategy). Measure the effectiveness of various channels and optimize future strategies. Work with Joint Industry Committees to exceed the status quo of media at Unilever.
- Team Development: Deliver a future-fit agency team that meets the needs of the Business Units (BUs) and strengthens the team as a BNX unit.
- Proven experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or a related field
- Strong understanding of the media and publishing industry in The Netherlands and Belgium - specifically regarding agency contracting and media pricing
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Business and financial acumen
- Strategic Partnerships/Business Development: Proven track record in developing and managing strategic partnerships or business development initiatives.
- Industry Experience: In-depth knowledge and experience in the media, publishing, or retail industries.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage agreements with partners.
- Communication and Presentation: Experience in effectively communicating and presenting to senior management and external partners.
- Innovation and Transformation: Experience in driving innovation and supporting organizational transformation initiatives.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term business plans and strategies.
- Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating terms and conditions to secure beneficial agreements.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze market trends, data, and financial reports to make informed decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective collaboration and presentation.
- Project Management: Proficiency in managing multiple projects and ensuring timely delivery.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the media, publishing, and retail industries in Belgium and The Netherlands
- Problem-Solving: Creative and effective problem-solving abilities to address challenges and seize opportunities.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
