Our Business Development Representatives (BDR) Team is comprised of over 70 BDRs throughout North America. The team supports over 300 sales reps in several market segments from Small to Medium Businesses up to Enterprise level companies. BDRs are a crucial part of UKG's Marketing and Sales organizations, responsible for generating new business through outbound prospecting and lead follow up. Our BDRs share a passion for technology, embrace healthy competition, and consistently give full effort to creating sales opportunities.
About the Role:
• Create and prioritize strategic target account lists within a defined territory with support from the field sales executives
• Research target accounts to determine leadership structure, technographic information, news and trigger events, industry background, and competitive landscape
• Leverage strong prospecting and business development skills to engage accounts with UKG through outbound calling, targeted/personalized emails, and lead generation
• Utilize knowledge of UKG products and solutions to enhance the client's or prospect's interest of UKG and communicate the value of our solution(s) to further assist the sales cycle
• Attend internal strategic account planning meetings with sales, marketing, and go-to-market teams to help develop account-specific strategies for gaining access to top-level executives, decision makers and influencers
• Employ expert probing skills to expand contacts, uncover business needs/challenges or define new product requirements within a target account
• Meet or exceed expected metrics of outbound calls and targeted emails to increase the number of live conversations per day
• Provide highly qualified lead information to the field sales organization to assist in account nurture or sales pipeline acceleration to drive increased revenue
Basic Qualifications:
• 5-8+ years of professional experience as a BDR/SDR/sales rep with strong outbound experience, ability to uncover detailed leads with well-developed pain points and needs
• 3 years of experience utilizing all pertinent social media and prospecting tools to improve outbound success. (e.g. LinkedIn Navigator, Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Salesloft, etc.)
• Has helped with training, mentoring, team lead, or onboarding other team members
• Positive growth mindset to master changes within the organization and job, as well as help others embrace the changes.
• Proficient using Salesforce.com, including Proficient with pulling reports, staying organized, and account/ contact cleanup in Salesforce
• Able to work in an assigned UKG office two days a week (based on territory listed in title)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the enterprise software industry, specifically HCM or Workforce Management
• Familiar or certified in a common sales methodology (e.g. Sandler, Holden, AAISP etc.)

The base salary for this position is $65,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for commissions and restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
