About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Security with a deep understanding of cloud and SaaS security to lead and scale our security efforts. You will be responsible for building a comprehensive security infrastructure, managing risk, and fostering a proactive security culture across the organization. As a leader, you will oversee all security engineering operations, automation, and strategies, ensuring the highest level of security, data protection, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Tactical:
Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of security controls for cloud and SaaS environments.
- Lead a high-performing security team to identify, manage, and reduce potential security incidents through proactive measures.
- Develop and execute high-impact security projects, fostering collaboration across departments to strengthen the company's security posture.
- Spearhead security "get well" programs across the organization, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and ongoing monitoring.
- Drive continuous improvement in security infrastructure, staying ahead of emerging threats and industry trends.
- Communicate security strategy and project updates to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Validate, track, and report on the effectiveness and completeness of security programs and controls.
Strategic Leadership:
• Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and manage a holistic security strategy for cloud and SaaS platforms, aligning security objectives with business goals.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential security risks, building a proactive approach to preventing security incidents before they occur.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performance security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Security Operations: Oversee day-to-day security operations, including monitoring, incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability management.
• Security Architecture: Design, implement, and enhance security frameworks and controls to protect critical data, systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring thorough investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Collaboration & Communication: Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, legal, and compliance) to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the company's operations.
• Innovation: Stay current on emerging security technologies and industry best practices, continuously seeking innovative solutions to improve security processes and systems.
Required Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within cloud and SaaS environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security models, security architectures, and security controls in multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO) and compliance standards.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, high-impact security projects.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex security issues into business terms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and innovative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with DevSecOps and integrating security practices into agile development processes.
• Familiarity with automation tools for security monitoring and threat detection.
