Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 8 to 10 skilled Development Engineers.
  • Manage team workload and capacity effectively, prioritize tasks, and address risks and trade-offs.
  • Strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Capable of understanding and contributing technically in the SaaS environment.
  • Mentor a high-performing engineering team, continuously motivating members to excel.
  • Collaborate with architects and product stakeholders to define and drive the product's strategic goals and roadmap.
  • Promote and enforce engineering best practices, including product development, code management, and security principles.
  • Work with team members to establish appropriate, challenging development objectives that align with internal and external customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to ensure all product timelines are met or exceeded.
  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team, remaining open to new ideas and opportunities.

Qualification:

  • At least 10 years of software development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role overseeing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience managing teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills, working closely with Product and Leadership teams.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/Angular, AJAX, and other front-end technologies, as well as knowledge of web standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery), Java, Spring Boot, and Spring.
  • Hands-on experience with design patterns.
  • Ability to contribute technically in the SaaS realm alongside the team as needed.
  • Expertise in product deployments, DevOps concepts, and CI/CD practices.
  • B.Tech/MS in Computer Science.
