About the Role

2025 is going to be a big year for the Japan Eats business as we work to accelerate our trip growth. We have set out a growth plan in 2024 and identified the key initiatives we need to execute on to get there. As such, this role will be leading on developing a robust business governance and performance management as the operation teams execute on the plan.

Your Impact in Role:

1. Governance and performance management

Role: To work with the Japan leadership team to set up effective governance forums and dashboards to facilitate effective business decision making

Scope:
  1. Define key performance indicators and metrics for monitoring the success of strategic initiatives and business performance
  2. Develop and implement dashboards, reports, and regular review processes to provide visibility into performance against strategic goals, both locally and globally
  3. Facilitate productive root cause analysis and action oriented discussions to help get to a better business outcome

2. Competition

Role: To be the control tower for market intelligence and recommend actionable steps for teams to action on as necessary

Scope:
  1. Market landscape analysis (e.g. market size, growth, share)
  2. Competitor benchmarking (e.g. financial performance, selection, pricing, app UX etc.)
  3. Gather on the ground intelligence of competitors across OFD and NV through primary and secondary sources
  4. Work with global teams to develop new data sources and models

3. Planning

Role: To work with the S&P team and Japan Delivery Leadership team to drive the semi-annual planning cycles

Scope:
  1. Design and run sections of the Delivery leadership team workshops and/ or discussion forums as inputs to the strategy
  2. Synthesize discussion/ viewpoints and drive alignment across Xfn stakeholders into a well articulated, action biased strategy document

  5. Working knowledge of SQL and ability to build dashboards
