About the Role

We're looking for a Manager, Strategic Operations to help us scale Uber for Business, one of the most exciting and fastest growing business units at Uber.

In this role, your mission will be to craft and execute a comprehensive end user pricing strategy for the business customer segment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, adept at stakeholder engagement, and a leader who can articulate a compelling vision and align cross-functional teams to achieve impactful results.

This is a hybrid role - our team collaborates in-person out of our incredible office from New York City or San Francisco 3 days/week. We encourage our employees to work from our office on additional days if they desire to do so.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Vision and Leadership
  • Define and drive the end-user pricing strategy for Uber for Business.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to gain buy-in on strategic choices.
  • Optimize Pricing and Profitability
  • Identify pricing opportunities using analytics and customer insights.
  • Develop profitability goals and frameworks to manage trade-offs across products and geographies.
  • Partner with Strategic Finance to align pricing and promotions with long-term growth targets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Product, Data Science, and Finance to execute pricing experiments and updates.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Leverage influence and negotiation skills to secure cross-functional support for implementing recommendations.
  • Develop clear and compelling communications for executive audiences to drive decision-making and alignment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in consulting, strategy & planning, operations, strategic finance, or analytics
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, with experience using data to drive business decisions
  • Proficiency in SQL (or similar query language) and Excel or Gsheets
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of crafting persuasive arguments and strategic narratives for executives
  • Results-oriented with a strong bias toward action, transparency, and delivery
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building deep relationships and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization, including anticipating their concerns and successfully advocating for your priorities
  • Strong organization and project management skills, including ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects and processes simultaneously
  • Strong business acumen, with experience evaluating a line of business and understanding how to drive growth
  • Hands-on problem solving approach, with a knack for addressing ambiguity, finding solutions to complex challenges, and adapting to shifting priorities
  • Skilled in synthesizing information quickly to distill key takeaways, and to weave insights into a compelling story that clarifies and inspires

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$169,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$169,000 per year.
