Our Mexico Operations team plays a key role in improving courier performance, enhancing merchant experience, and driving key operational goals-all while making the right decisions for the business. We work cross-functionally with Commercial, Technical Account Management, CommOps, and Marketplace Operations teams to implement strategic projects that have a real impact.
This role is central to Mexico Direct's operations, and you'll also be part of a broader LATAM team, engaging with regional counterparts, sharing insights, and learning from their experiences. What You'll Do
- Lead the Mexico Direct operations team to ensure high-quality and timely deliveries.
- Develop and implement strategic projects aimed at improving operations on a quarterly or semester basis.
- Act as the primary point of contact between Uber Direct's commercial and marketplace (supply) teams, advocating for operational priorities.
- Engage in hands-on problem-solving and create scalable, automated solutions for operations and commercial stakeholders.
- Leverage data to drive decisions, validate assumptions, and build compelling business cases for growth and efficiency.
- Prioritize initiatives effectively, focusing on high-impact solutions while understanding and communicating trade-offs.
- Adapt to change-stay flexible in a fast-moving environment, adjusting short- and mid-term strategies as needed.
What You'll Need
- 6+ years of experience in operations management, strategy operations, online marketplaces, program management, or related fields.
- Experience leading high-performance teams and fostering a results-driven culture.
- Strong stakeholder management-ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams, including commercial and leadership teams.
- Analytical mindset-experience working with data, extracting insights, and using them to inform business decisions.
- Ability to evaluate trade-offs and communicate them effectively when presenting solutions to senior leadership.
- Comfort with complex problem-solving-not afraid to challenge ideas, push back when necessary, and advocate for the best solutions.
- SQL proficiency (high level) to analyze data and drive insights.
- Curiosity and a proactive mindset-someone who seeks solutions, digs into problems, and enjoys learning how the business works.
