About the Role
Uber's Global Business Development team incubates, develops and manages strategic partnerships across Uber's Mobility, Delivery, and Core Services business units that unlock outsized value today and for many years to come.
As the Sr. Manager, Global Strategy & Planning, you will play a key role in driving Business Development's strategy and execution forward by evaluating strategic business opportunities, analyzing and tracking partnerships within our strategic programs, leading planning initiatives and assisting in deal structuring. This role fulfills a key business partner function within the organization, working to (1) ensure transparency of key information across our broad portfolio of programs, partnerships and initiatives, (2) distill business insights to shape an informed strategy, (3) champion effective growth investments and (4) enable organizational effectiveness. This role manages a team of regional strategy & planning managers.

The ideal candidate for this role has excellent analytical skills, can work effectively across a nuanced, global organization, and can clearly communicate and present information to the executive leadership team.
We're looking for someone who can zoom out to set a vision and solve problems from 30,000 feet, as well as zoom in to dive deep into the details. This role reports to the Global Head of BD S&P and Uber Transit.
What You'll Do:
- Lead global strategy projects from inception to execution ranging from vision setting, org productivity, and gaining scale and speed through standardization and global best practices sharing.
- Lead Business Development's annual planning cycle partnering across Uber
- Create frameworks to inform investment tradeoffs and organizational focus
- Launch projects that improve Business Development's org structure and operating model
- Serve as a thought partner to Business Development leaders and deal leads
- Own reporting forums like monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Be a leader; You will lead a team of highly analytical and passionate individuals who care deeply about our work. You will be expected to excel as a coach, attract great talent, and grow individuals into future leaders at Uber
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 8 years of analytical or strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience at a top tier consulting firm
- Experience with large commercial partnerships in a global setting
- Strong track record of working cross functionally with an ability to challenge and influence various partners across organizations
- An ability to synthesize information quickly, distill key takeaways, and weave insights into a compelling story that clarifies and inspires
- An ability to build deep relationships across a broad organization, foster a fun and collaborative work environment, and understand problems from diverse perspectives. Humility and empathy are critical to success in this role

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
