About the Role
Sr. Integration Engineer at Business Technology Engineering, will be responsible for managing and enhancing SaaS applications by building integrations in the HR domain. As a member of the Global People Technology team, partner with Product Managers, Program Managers and various Engineering team members to be a subject matter expert. Responsibilities include assessing technology, designing and implementing integration solutions, and driving the adoption of engineering best practices across the team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing integration solutions with Oracle HCM Cloud and proven expertise in areas such as Core HR, Recruitment, and Onboarding. This role requires excellent time management and stakeholder engagement skills, along with the ability to enhance and implement engineering best practices.

What the Candidate Will Do
- Design and develop integration solutions across Core HR, Recruitment, Onboarding, and other HR domains.
- Define technology strategy and architecture, propose SaaS development guidelines, and recommend best practices to engineers and business stakeholders.
- Innovate in the technology space by building reusable integration components using existing platforms and collaborating with platform engineers.
- Champion industry-standard and Uber-specific enterprise engineering practices in security, observability, monitoring, and deployment.
- Act as a technology advisor to recommend optimal technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and addressing downstream impacts.
- Lead special projects and ad hoc analyses to evaluate new initiatives, products, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical leaders, architects, and global business stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience as an Integration Engineer or Consultant to design and build integration solutions across Core HR, Recruitment, Onboarding.
- Proven experience in HCM Extracts, HDL Imports, OTBI & BIP Reports,Fast Formulas, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Visual Builder, Page personalizations, Workflow customizations, Redwood design, Security Framework etc.
- Proven experience of working across at least 2 end-to-end HR transformation projects on Oracle HCM cloud
- Working experience on Integration middleware platforms like Mulesoft, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Strong understanding of Oracle HCM Fusion Cloud implementation methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with building solutions across multiple Oracle HCM Cloud technical areas
- Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting multi-platform technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using JIRA, Lucidchart, and other project management tools.
- Eagerness to work on complex problems and learn new technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of various data and integration architecture patterns outside of SaaS applications.
- Expertise in working on functional configurations in 1 or 2 functional areas within Oracle HCM cloud
- Exposure to programming and software engineering in 1 or 2 disciplines.
- Certifications on Oracle HCM/Fusion cloud Implementation on relevant areas for this role
- Experience on non-Oracle systems like Workday, Service NOW etc.
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$154,000 per year - USD$171,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year.
