About the Role
We are growing our team and looking for a team-oriented, strategic, and obsessively collaborative person with a consultative mindset. The right person understands how DEI can drive revenue growth, can identify and seize commercial opportunities, has exceptional project management skills and can demonstrate cutting edge thought leadership.The position provides critical support to the DEI Sr. Director, Global Business Operations, who will collaborate with executive leadership teams, business leaders, and key partners within Uber to develop and execute strategies that you will then operationalize globally.

What You'll Do
- On a typical day you'll be partnering with cross-functional teams and commercial stakeholders to integrate DEI to drive incremental revenue growth
- You will help implement large scale change programmes designed to be both inclusive and accretive
- You'll work on critical initiatives to build and co-create practices and solutions in DEI, culture activation, and team effectiveness for senior leadership teams driving the highest impact across Uber functions and geographies.
- Operationalize our global IDEA strategy with an absolute business prism/lens on the role
- Communicate IDEA's global strategy and identify opportunities to enable business Stakeholders to achieve their business goals
- Support development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, learning curriculum, building capabilities and driving behavior changes at the business level
- Partner closely with cross functional and HR teammates to assess organizational needs, identify areas for improvement, solicit feedback, develop and iterate ways of working design to support continuous DEI efforts.
- Deliver programs and toolkits in partnership with key stakeholders;
- Perform strong project management tasks as needed, managing multiple projects at once.
- Deeply understand the diversity and inclusion opportunities in all regions of the world.
- Identify external trends and benchmarks that inform and complement internal workforce goals and employee engagement, bringing in new ideas to the initiatives that you will organize.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of experience working as an internal or external DEI consultant on organizational transformation efforts including assessing, designing and implementing DEI strategies; leading change and transformation initiatives, and driving leadership and team effectiveness.
- Proven track record to create organizational development, culture change, or teaming strategies, and practical approaches, solutions and measures to drive and sustain behavior change.
- Proven track record in developing a DEI strategy and operationalizing it globally with an absolute business focus on the role.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leaders (VPs+), business-facing HR partners, and other business partners to drive, align, and activate highly strategic work with a system thinking approach
- Strong management consulting skillset, including: project scoping and management; hypothesis development; research and benchmarking; workshop design and facilitation.
- A critical thinker with the ability to diagnose and simplify complex issues and work towards well thought out decisions and results.
- An innovative thinker, able to disrupt and challenge assumptions to achieve better outcomes.
- A strong collaborator, expert at bringing teams together and building commitment to a shared vision and goals.
- Experience working in a global environment across a matrixed organization and navigating complex stakeholder structures.
- Excellent communication and presentations skills, comfortable engaging with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the full human capital function including expertise in integrating diversity & inclusion in Learning & Development, Talent Management, Global Benefits, Recruitment, Employee Relations, and Retention Strategies.
- Resourceful. You have amazing organizational skills, and great follow-through on tasks. You don't get overwhelmed easily.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years leading diversity, inclusion and/or cultural initiatives strongly preferred, including successful implementation of programs with measurable results.
- Experience being the strategic thought partner in all matters of DEI
- Business acumen and experience linking DEI strategy to business strategy
- Accumulated the best DEI expertise + knowledge from advising large, global multinational corporations; has global DEI experience
- Optimizes data analysis to inform strategic planning and tell a story about the workforce in each market.
- Demonstrated ability to partner and drive engagement and accountability across an organization.
- Serve as a leadership coach to managers to help them become a more inclusive and inspiring leader.
- Team player with a high tolerance for ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment.
