Senior Manager Accounting

Role Overview:
Day to Day management of the accounting team, comprising of statutory accountants, to include supporting VAT returns, PSA, SAO and other local tax returns and responses where possible. Main liaison with external auditors to ensure the timely filing of UK statutory accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Day to Day management of a team of 3 people.
- Timely filing of UK statutory accounts
- Ensuring month end close deadlines are met on an accurate and timely basis for LSDA and LIE, SES Branches including Mach India
- Monthly Trial Balance pre-close reviews and attendance at Flash meetings to assist in making sure we close without any material misstatements
- Review and follow up process improvements on quarterly VAT returns.
- Work closely with Cash Management team to ensure forecasts are as accurate as possible.
- Work with team to ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
- Close liaison with external advisors in various countries, ensuring local compliance and filing deadlines are met
- Work closely with payroll accountant to ensure that deadlines are met with monthly postings and annual returns (P11Db and PSA), as well as main point of liaison with payroll department.
- Liaison and regular update with Deloitte senior management on annual audits.
- Review of periodic bank transfers/manual wire requests.
- Work closely with EMEA Assistant Controller regarding Sox compliance.
- TB analysis and input in to monthly flux reporting
- IR35 compliance review and updates with recruitment and HR
- Oversee ONS surveys - all entities.
- Suggest and improve processes and procedures for Branch accounting

Skills Required:
- Recognised Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong post qualification experience
- Understanding of IFRS, UK and USGAAP
- Experience in Revenue recognition in large US multinational
- International accounting experience working closely with local advisors
Skills Desired:
- People management experience
- Experience of Costpoint, Deltek and/or Blackline
Clearance Requirements:
- SC Clearance for Role
