About the Role
The Uber for Business (U4B) Team is looking for a sharp and highly motivated individual to join our team focused on expanding the Uber Shuttle aka High Capacity Vehicle (HCV) in India! We need a creative thinker and builder with previous proposal management experience that's passionate about our commercial businesses. You'll be on the frontlines of developing and executing end-to-end proposal strategies in close partnership with our growing sales and cross-functional teams globally.
As a Uber Shuttle Proposal Manager, you will be tasked with responding to time-sensitive requests for proposals (RFx) and offering guidance throughout the full procurement lifecycle to help drive new business. You will collaborate with a cross functional team of Sales, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product Managers and others to drive customer acquisition and growth through operational and commercial excellence in a fast moving and innovative environment.

What the Candidate Will Do
- Develop proposal development plans based on review of RFx documents that communicate timelines and response needs to cross-functional partners. Develop response strategies in close collaboration with sales, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Serve as the lead author and editor of all proposal sections, including cover letters, product descriptions, and an array of broad companywide information. Regularly update a proposal response library based on latest product updates and stakeholder feedback.
- Design high-quality visuals and narratives. Support teams as needed in all procurement stages, including pre-RFx efforts as well as client interviews, presentations, best and final offers, and contract negotiations.
- Deliver winning proposals that are accurate, vetted, and compelling.
What the Candidate Will Need
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in proposal management and writing. Education in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, or similar fields is highly preferred. APMP or other certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Figma or a willingness to learn graphic design is a plus. Superb writing and editing skills; the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to a wide range of business partners with a concise, thorough, creative, and persuasive style.
- A high level of organization and attention to detail; you'll be expected to produce quality, error-free work in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work with and get consensus from cross-functional teams. An owner's mentality; able to take on whatever work is needed for your team to accomplish its goal.
