Uber Eats launched in Portugal in 2017 and has quickly become a leader in food delivery. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Sales Team Leader to manage and optimize a team of outbound sales representatives who drive growth by bringing high-quality restaurant partners onto the platform. By joining our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that merchants get off to a great start, optimize the onboarding process, setting up their account properly, ensuring they are educated, while generating engagement with our tools like ads and offers.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead & Motivate: Manage a team of 4-6 junior sales representatives, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Provide tailored training and professional development to enhance the team's sales capabilities. Set clear and achievable goals through regular performance reviews.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor team KPIs, including Close Win (CW), First Trip (FT), GB/FT, MPF, and engagement metrics, ensuring alignment with overall sales objectives.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Support & Sell: Balance team management with an individual sales quota by closing deals in challenging sales missions.
- Territory Management: Optimize the allocation of sales territories and ensure targeted outreach based on strategic priorities.
- Pricing & Pitching: Provide guidance on pricing and pitching strategies tailored to specific market conditions.
Onboarding & Enablement:
- Smooth Integration: Oversee the onboarding process for new team members and ensure seamless handoffs from sales to merchant activation.
- Operational Support: Act as the main point of contact for issues related to the sales cycle, including outreach, compliance (e.g., PSD2, KYC), and process improvements.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Optimize Processes: Identify and execute projects to improve sales efficiency, such as playbook creation, enablement activities, and adoption pushes.
- Insights & Reporting: Prepare insights for leadership on team performance, structural improvements, and key sales milestones.
- Drive Engagement: Focus on structural projects that enhance the quality of merchant onboarding and engagement, driving sustainable growth.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in sales, account management, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and G-Suite/MS Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a team leadership or management role.
- Familiarity with the food delivery or digital marketplace industries.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
