About the Role

Uber for Business in Japan is rapidly growing. Mid-market segment has been identified as the most critical market segment to scale business in Japan and we are doubling down on our investment in the sector.

As par our ambitious strategy and plan for 2030, Mid-market Platform sales team will play a crucial role to bring the organization to the next level. We are expanding the Mid-market team and, now, are looking for rock star sales leader to manage. Come join us to be part of this journey and make history with the team.

What the Candidate Will Do

Manage mid-market sales team. Manage, coaching and supporting AEs to identify business opportunities for Uber Rides & Eats and drive a deal for closure. Manage business performance by output (Top-line revenue) and Input (Actions / Creating Opportunity / Closing deals). The sales motion includes, but not limited to, opportunity qualification, presenting proposal, negotiating contract and ensuring successful launch. Mid-market sales manager is also responsible to ensure AEs maximizing first 6 month top-line revenue and its growth.

Key responsibilities also include:

1) Sales strategy & plan development for mid-market.

2) Periodical reporting business performance & Action plan to regional GM and country manager.

3) Provide opportunity and ensure AEs are continuously learning Uber, Uber for Business solutions, market trends and feedback to the organization.

What the Candidate Will Need

  • Minimum 10yrs+ B2B intangible product sales experience with the desire to become a team manager.
  • Ability to manage performance with matrices. Strong Insight & data-driven approach with solid prioritization methodology to support AEs to perform.
  • Strong ownership mind-set, willing to play at the field with AEs and provide day-to-day support.
  • Detailed and highest-standard orientation, while ability to look from the big picture.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal in Japanese and English

Preferred Bonus Points

  • People management experience at result oriented and fast paced multinational company.
  • Sales experience to back-office prospect/clients.
  • Knowlage about corporate travel and/or employee benefit.
  • Marketing (Demand generation / Lead generation) and/or Business Development experience is plus.
