As a Claims Advocate, A2A, you will be a key liaison between our insurance partner carriers and various stakeholders, ensuring efficient and timely claim resolutions. Your responsibilities will include handling both phone and chat correspondence, collaborating closely with Adjusters to manage ongoing or new claims, and providing real-time support to ensure seamless processes.

In this role, you will spend at least 75% of your time managing inbound and outbound calls with Uber partner insurance companies, customers who may have been involved in incidents, and other relevant customers or stakeholders. Your ability to facilitate clear communication and streamline claim-related activities will be essential in delivering exceptional service and supporting successful outcomes.

This role will be a hybrid schedule requiring in-office attendance 50% of the time. Are you ready to Uber On?!

What You'll Do

  • You will respond to inquiries from our insurance partner carriers via phone and chat, providing timely updates on key aspects of a claim, such as the investigation status, facts of loss, and any other specific claim-related matters.
  • Utilize Uber's internal safety, insurance, and compliance tools to access and verify claim information, assisting insurance adjusters in processing claims efficiently while demonstrating critical thinking.
  • Accurately respond to inquiries received from insurance carriers and other third parties.
  • Demonstrate a #tripobsessed mentality when communicating with adjusters and users.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience on a First Notice of Loss Claims team OR Experience handling sensitive or safety-related user issues within our company
  • Knowledge of US auto claims coverage

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of auto claims management experience or 1+ year bodily injury adjusting experience
  • Familiarity with a variety of Uber systems and tools (IE: Chronicle, Bliss, JIRA, Investigations Workbench, Safety Lens, Zendesk, etc)
  • Ability to learn and apply claims policies and procedures.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain quality in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • A high degree of adaptability to meet changing business needs
  • Proficient in multi-tasking through various technology platforms
  • Passionate about customer experience and claims management
  • Proficient with various computer operating systems

For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$59,000 per year - USD$65,500 per year.
