About the Role

Uber is seeking an Operations and Logistics Manager to lead the end-to-end management of Uber Moto in Mexico. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the product, including configurations, supply and demand engagement, financial performance, product features, strategy, and planning. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on operational expertise to scale the product, enhance the user experience, and achieve business objectives.

This role requires strong leadership, a data-driven approach, and exceptional collaboration skills to navigate a dynamic and regulated market.

What you'll do:

  1. Product Management: Configure, maintain, and optimize Uber Moto to meet operational and market demands. Partner with Regional and Product teams to roll out new features and refine existing functionalities based on market needs.
  2. Supply and Demand Optimization: Develop strategies to grow driver supply while ensuring high-quality rider experiences. Balance supply and demand using data-driven incentives, marketing campaigns, and operational levers. Work closely with Marketing and Communications teams to increase rider awareness and engagement.
  3. Financial Oversight: Monitor the financial health of Uber Moto, including gross bookings, costs, and profitability metrics. Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation to achieve financial targets. Recommend and implement pricing adjustments or incentive programs to align with market dynamics.
  4. Strategy and Planning: Define short- and long-term strategies to scale Uber Moto and enhance its market position.Leverage data and insights to forecast growth and identify opportunities for improvement.
  5. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with teams across Ops, Policy, Legal, Safety and CommOps to ensure compliance and seamless operations. Align priorities and resolve challenges with stakeholders to enable successful execution of initiatives.
  6. Operational Excellence: Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance performance and scalability. Design and execute programs to improve key operational metrics, including trip completion rates and driver retention.
  7. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Develop dashboards and tools to track KPIs such as supply reliability, trip growth, and user satisfaction. Provide actionable insights and updates to senior leadership to inform decision-making and strategy.

What you'll need:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  2. 4+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or product management, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  3. Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and SQL proficiency.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

1. Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, profitability analysis, and cost optimization.

2. Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, from conception to execution, delivering results on time and within scope.

3. Stakeholder Management: Experience working with cross-functional teams to align objectives and execute plans in regulated markets.

4. Strategic Vision: Proven ability to balance immediate operational needs with long-term growth strategies.

5. Market Adaptability: Familiarity with navigating regulatory landscapes and market-specific challenges in Mexico.
