It is the delivery of everything that isn't restaurant food - think groceries, essentials, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, pets, beauty, and more... We are creating something brand new! Many of the problems we face are new for Uber and require creative solutions that cater to different customers, we're able to solve them because we deeply care #BuildwithHeart.

About The Role

We're looking for a highly strategic, analytical, and hands-on Sales Operations Leader to build our APAC Retail Sales Ops function. This is a critical role that will partner closely with local GMs, Sales Leaders, Finance, and cross-functional teams to optimise how we plan, operate, and grow across ANZ, Japan, and Taiwan.

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy rolling up your sleeves to build from the ground up, but also have the presence and experience to influence senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will combine commercial acumen, data-driven decision-making, and operational discipline to ensure our sales organisation is set up to win.

Your Impact in Role

  • Design the Blueprint for Growth: Lead the development of territory plans, account assignments, and resourcing strategies that are tailored to the unique needs of ANZ, Japan, and Taiwan. You'll determine how best to deploy our commercial resources and make data-driven decisions on where we invest next.
  • Turn Business Goals into Sales Reality: Work closely with Finance to translate high-level revenue targets into achievable sales quotas. You'll develop incentive structures and compensation plans that align sales behaviours with our most important outcomes - motivating teams while ensuring performance is sustainable and scalable.
  • Act as a Strategic Advisor to Sales Leadership: Partner directly with Country GMs and Sales Leaders to shape go-to-market execution. You'll use performance data and deep commercial insights to identify opportunities in the sales funnel, improve rep productivity, inform pricing strategies, and refine customer segmentation.
  • Arm the Team with Insights & Tools: Empower our sales teams with the dashboards, tools, and benchmarks they need to operate at peak performance. From weekly metrics to quarterly business reviews, your work will help drive better decision-making, faster deal cycles, and more effective upselling.
  • Build Operational Excellence from the Ground Up: Establish the operating rhythm that keeps our Retail sales engine running smoothly - including planning cadences, review forums, pipeline reporting, and performance tracking. You'll streamline processes to ensure we're moving fast, staying lean, and delivering impact.
  • Shape the Future Sales Ops Org: As Retail grows, so will your team. You'll define the hiring roadmap, set the culture, and lead the development of a high-performing APAC Sales Ops function that aligns closely with the business and delivers outsized value.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Sit at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Enablement, Strategy, and Marketing - aligning teams on shared goals and ensuring a seamless customer and seller experience. You'll play a critical role in unblocking bottlenecks and scaling best practices across the region.
  • Drive Innovation through Experimentation: Test new ways of working, optimise existing playbooks, and run experiments to drive commercial performance. Whether it's a new quota model, segmentation strategy, or sales incentive, your work will directly contribute to how we evolve and grow.

The Experience You'll Bring

  • Sales Ops Expertise: Deep experience in Sales Strategy, Planning, and GTM Operations for large, fast-paced sales teams.
  • People Leadership: Direct team management experience with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Commercial & Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of territory design, forecasting, compensation modelling, and process optimisation.

Analytical Strength: Proven ability to extract insights from complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Effective Communicator: Comfortable engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

Change Leadership: Skilled in navigating ambiguity, prioritising effectively, and driving adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Tools & Systems: Proficiency in Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, and CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Industry Experience: Open to industry background however, experience in Tech, CPG or Marketplace is advantageous.
  • Regional Context: Familiarity with APAC markets- 1 or more in ANZ, Japan, or Taiwan-is strongly preferred.

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let's move the world forward, together.
