The Merchant Acquisition team is one of the largest, earliest, and most impactful teams in the history of Uber Eats in Taiwan. From helping to launch Uber Eats in Taiwan, to acquiring restaurant partners onto our platform, and growing our restaurant selection nationwide, our business and the over 70K merchants who thrive on our platform would not be here if not for this team of over 100 dedicated and energetic sales professionals.
About the Role
The Acquisition Sales Lead role is in charge of leading a team of Sales managers and representatives in a function or a major geography in Taiwan.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our growth with a big focus on driving restaurant selection, managing a team of Field Sales Representatives, guiding and supporting your team to achieve strong sales results. You will play a key role in developing strategies and improving how the team operates. This role offers a great chance to make a real impact and grow within the company.
Your Impact in Role
Your impact at Uber is critical to the future of the Acquisition Sales team.
- Hire, coach, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of sales professionals; provide comprehensive leadership and managerial support, building a culture that upholds Uber values.
- Regularly monitor progress and analyze sales metrics to assess performance against goals. Communicate the findings to Field Sales Representatives and cross-functional teams; contribute to leadership-facing reporting.
- Proactively identify areas that require improvement, including optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of teams by streamlining workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead our Field Sales Representatives with both short and long-term market goals in mind, ensuring the alignment with the broader Uber Eats Taiwan strategy.
- Facilitate productive communication and collaboration with Merchant Strategy, Account Management, Delivery Commercial Operations and other cross-functional teams to improve systems, processes, and programs.
The Experience You'll Need
- Proven Sales Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in sales, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Leadership and Management: Experience in managing and/or mentoring sales representatives, with strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze sales data, identify performance trends, and develop data-driven strategies to improve performance and drive growth.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and build relationships with restaurants and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant experience in other large consumer-facing internet companies, especially in similar B2B sales and field sales management roles.
- In depth understanding of Taiwan's restaurant landscape is a plus.

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity.
