Outside Sales Rep / Account Manager / Heavy-Duty Truck and Trailer Parts  – Full-time / Exempt

As a TruckPro Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships to grow sales, gross profit margin, and overall profitability in the heavy-duty truck and equipment parts industry.

Account Manager-Outside Sales Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and increase sales to existing customers in assigned territory, as well as identify and establish new accounts
  • Maintain and grow strategic accounts at the local level
  • Develop and execute sales plans and goals
  • Maintain and upgrade selling skills and technical/product knowledge for all TruckPro products, services, and processes
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients
  • Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitors.
  • Travel within the designated market, interfacing with customers on a daily basis

Successful Account Manager Candidates Will Have:

  • 3 years’ experience in an outside sales or account manager role
  • Heavy-duty truck and trailer parts knowledge/experience
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) i.e. Salesforce, etc.
  • Understand and utilize the principles of Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with aptitude to learn new business software applications
  • Demonstrated skills in goal setting, sales, and business development
  • High-energy, competitive nature, self-starter yet proven to be a collaborative team player
  • Commitment to building strong and supportive partnerships
  • Excellent communication (oral & written)
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record (company vehicle provided)

  • Typically, the associate will walk for extended periods, stand for long stretches, lift moderate weight, reach, bend, and drive for long distances. 
  • There will be movement from area to area, transporting of items such as a laptop computer, paper, books, luggage and small to large truck parts up to 50+ lbs, driving an automobile daily, etc.

  • While performing the primary duties of the job, the associate will be regularly exposed typical inside and outside conditions, including, but not limited to dirt, dust, vibration, minimal chemical hazards, noise and temperature variances
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • Approximately 95% of time will be travel related
