The Global Collections Director role is a key member of the Invoice to Cash global leadership team and is responsible for overseeing our global collections operations. This role will drive collection strategies, analyzing financial data, optimize cash flow, reduce delinquencies, and enhance customer relationships while ensuring compliance with financial policies and local regulations. This role will partner and collaborate with key internal stakeholders such as Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Legal to establish best practices and improve overall collection efficiency.

What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' of B2B collections leadership experience
- Previous experience leading a global function

Collections Strategy & Operations
- Lead the global collections function, ensuring consistent and efficient collections processes across all regions.
- Monitor daily operations, ensuring that collections activities are efficient, effective, and in line with company policies.
- Develop and implement collection strategies to optimize DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), improve cash flow and reduce bad debt.
- Partner with internal teams to analyze customer accounts, payment trends, and risk factors to drive proactive collections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and local regulatory requirements in each operating country.
- Manage escalations and complex collection cases, including dispute resolution and customer negotiations.
- Oversee and manage a global collections team currently based primarily in U.S. UK, Canada, Costa Rica, and India.
- Set clear performance goals and KPIs for the collections teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the collections organization.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and technology enhancements to streamline collections operations.
- Work with IT and Finance teams to optimize collection tools, reporting dashboards, and ERP integrations.
- Standardize collections workflows and best practices across all locations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, and Customer Support teams to ensure a customer-centric approach to collections while achieving cash flow targets.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., accounting, legal) to address complex collections issues.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring respectful and professional communication during collections efforts.
- Resolve disputes, inquiries, and issues related to outstanding debts.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve customer payment behavior and reduce disputes.
- Monitor the status of accounts receivable, analyze aging reports, and recommend actions for overdue accounts.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on collections performance, bad debt, and recovery trends.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :
The U.S. base salary range for this position is $150,100.00 - $225,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.
Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
