The Global Billing, Credit and Collections team (GBCC) are looking for a Reporting and Analytics Manager to join our team. The role involves performing detailed analysis, operational and management reporting, forecasting collections performance and producing our financial reconciliations and controls for our accounts receivable. The Manager will also participate in multiple projects, both internal and external to GBCC, advising on best practices and supporting their implementation.

Responsibilities

Analytics Strategy

  • May define and communicate vision for analytics and analytics priorities, ensuring alignment with Global Billing Credit & Collections team priorities and IT's commitment.

Data Definitions & Integrity

  • Confirms data definitions, financial account mapping, and configuration impacting account receivable and credit, billing, and collections metric definitions with key stakeholders (including global and regional functional leads, Finance, IT and other functions)
  • Coordinates with the business unit, Finance and IT as appropriate to fix identified data integrity and inconsistency issues.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to determine data requirements and any potential constraints.
  • Supports M&A and Integration teams, advising on full or partial migration of AR sub-ledgers their appropriate configuration and reporting.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Production of executive E-staff level scheduled reports such as the GBCC metrics and cash collections.
  • Responsible for delivering the monthly global reserves and financial provisions for the department.
  • Maintains and enhances internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Mines data for patterns, relationships, issues and consistency on a regular basis and uses this insight to build advanced risk and decision-support models, financial and operational insights and analytics reports.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely operational and financial recommendations to management for decision making purpose

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Builds relationships and partners with stakeholders (i.e. IT, Finance, business leaders) to understand requests, make recommendations and implement solutions.
  • Serves as the primary contact with internal and external auditors coordinating audit processes for the department and addressing complex financial or technical issues.
  • Leads and participates in projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, or process improvements.
  • Coach the analysts to present data and analytics to business leaders for better adoption and use of insights

Thought Leadership

  • Brings value to each ask and provides thought leadership and forward-thinking analytics that would have a stronger business impact
  • Provides expert guidance on financial reporting practices for all aspects of accounts receivable.
  • Provides support and development for Analysts and Senior Analysts

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Financial, Management and Operational reporting preferably in a global billing and collections environment.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification preferable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel essential and experience with data visualization software, such as Tableau is a plus
  • Familiarity with financial systems and tools (Oracle Cloud)
  • Experience with SOX controls, credit risk modeling, billing and collections metrics, and the ability to advise on reporting and analytic best practice.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to mentor and develop more junior analysts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to summarize complex issues and communicate effectively with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders across financial and non-financial disciplines and various levels
