Toyota's NA Paint Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Paint Seibi Technician.

The primary responsibility of this role is to Program paint and plastic robots to meet Toyota and Lexus Quality standards.

Reporting to the Paint Production Engineering Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint department's objective to create the highest quality at the lowest cost.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage operation/function: Offline simulations / online programming (Carrot 3 and Catia); Quality Adjust for Topcoat, Under body and Plastics shop; Equipment confirmations
  • Lead / manage: Create schedules; Manage schedules; Create status reports
  • Communication: Communicate with PE Specialist and other Paint Seibi Techs; Communicate with Paint pilot members
  • Manage processes: Program Topcoat robots; Program UBC robots; Program Plastics robots; Run quality trials through above process
  • Resolve problems: Trouble shoot Paint process including robot programs; Resolve conflict in job scope and design

What you bring

  • 1 + years Paint SEIBI experience
  • 2- or 4-year technical degree
  • PLC logic and trouble shooting
  • Conveyor circuit and safety interlock
  • Kawasaki Robot programming experience
  • Quality instruments experience
  • Able to use Microsoft office and excel
  • Able to communicate across multiple platforms
  • Ability to work up to 25% overtime on weekends, holidays and shutdown
  • Ability to travel up to 35% domestically and internationally

Added bonus if you have

  • Digital engineering experience
  • Knowledge of Toyota Quality Standards
