Who we're looking for:
The Toyota Financial Services, Enterprise Tools team is seeking a highly motivated Lead DevOps Engineer to help our growing Enterprise tools needs. This position will be responsible for building world-class platform engineering for our development teams.
What you'll be doing
Technology Strategy and Execution:
- Implement a strategic roadmap for technology initiatives within the CI/CD pipelines & Container platform domains.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technology solutions that enhance employee experience.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve and innovate our technology offerings.
Self-Service and Automation:
- Drive initiatives to enable self-service capabilities and automation across all supported technology areas.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual efforts, and increase efficiency through automation.
- Champion the adoption of self-service tools and platforms to empower employees to resolve issues independently.
What you bring
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native platforms and services using AWS or other cloud providers.
- Must have hands-on experience working with and Mastery of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, including their configuration, customization, and integration capabilities in progressively challenging roles.
- Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash or Groovy for automation and customization of CI/CD workflows.
- Experience in seamlessly integrating containerization into CI/CD pipelines, including Docker image building, registry management, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate, including cluster setup, configuration, and management.
- Experience in test-driven development (TDD) approach for automation, ensuring platforms are developed with TDD principles by writing tests before implementing feature
- Strong working knowledge and hands on experience with Amazon Web Services including Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and AWS CodeDeploy for provisioning and managing CI/CD infrastructure.
