Who we're looking for
Toyota's Body Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Engineering Analyst - Body.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and manage new model projects from all aspects of body engineering in Toyota's North American Body Manufacturing Shops.
Reporting to the manager, the person in this role will support the Body Production Engineering Department's objective to provide new model processes to the manufacturing facilities which meet all targets for safety, quality, productivity and cost.
What you'll be doing
- Lead your equipment responsibility for the project schedule, budget, weld and dimensional quality confirmation.
- Lead process development through process design, machine specification, equipment procurement and installation, safety risk assessments, dimensional accuracy investigations and process trials based on project milestones and events.
- Manage the project to achieve KPIs
- Execute onsite equipment modifications during non-production time (weekends, holidays, etc.)
- Participate in team kaizen and organizational improvement activities
- Interact with inside and outside groups (Body Manufacturing Pilot, Stamping PE, Plant Facilities, etc.) to divide responsibilities and resolve conflicts.
What you bring
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering or Equivalent Technical Degree, or Trade Certificate combined with 10+ years of relevant professional manufacturing/technical/project implementation experience.
- CAROTT 3 / Delmia / Catia or other 3D CAD software experience, including the ability to read, interpret and modify 3D models and processes.
- Ability to work weekends, holiday periods, shutdown periods and across multiple shifts to support tooling modifications, installation projects, and project urgencies.
- Ability to work overtime up to 30%.
- Ability to travel up to 20% to support work at machine vendors, Toyota locations in North America [US, Canada, Mexico), other manufacturing locations and Japan.
Added bonus if you have
- Body PE Experience with Toyota Motors North America (TMNA) and/or North America Manufacturing Company (NAMC) such as Body Pilot, special projects planning, specification creation, and installation.
- Direct working experience in a Toyota PE position outside of Body PE
- Automotive manufacturing experience outside of Toyota
- Experience with 2 or more Body PE functions (SE, Quality, Seibi, Carott, Robot Team, Innovation group) - Direct assignment for 6 months or more
- Carott 3 experience
- Toyota Business Process completion through panel
