Primary Job Accountabilities
Operations Management
- Oversee the performance of the Credit Analysts (CA) throughout the day to control optimum callback time and achieve daily objectives, under acceptable quality standards.
- Review and negotiate credit applications with dealers to make a decision.
- Manage the credit department to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
- Ensure credit decisions are in compliance with the following regulations: Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) regulations.
- Review the carLOS system post decision queue to ensure deals are approved under Toyota Credit de Puerto Rico's (TCPR) approval authorities.
- Assist in developing standard and consistent operating procedures, goals, and objectives for the department.
People Management:
- Supervise staff to ensure continuity and quality of service.
- Supervise the CA in all functions relating to TCPR's retail and balloon credit programs. Monitor performance to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Prepare and manage performance objectives for each direct report.
- Address team members performance issues or refer them to the SFC Dealer Operations Manager, as appropriate.
- Complete objectives, performance evaluation, and development plans for direct reports in a timely manner.
Customer Service Management:
- Develop and maintain quality relations with all TCPR dealers and improve communication with the TCPR Sales Department.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other Supervisors and Managers in the assessment, development, and implementation of workflow efficiencies to guarantee a world-class dealer service experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Education
- Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS) Business Administration, Finance or Accounting related areas
Work Experience
- 2-5 years of relevant / progressive work experience (in similar field and/or industry)
Licenses, Certifications & Specialized Skills (if applicable)
- Supervisory experience required
- Excellent people skills with the ability to interact and motivate team members at all levels
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and flexibility in a collaborative environment
- Strong verbal and written English and Spanish skills.
- Project management capabilities to successfully meet deadlines, and deliverables
- Active driver's license
Supervision or Management
- Collective Number of Team Members Direct and Indirect Reports - 3
Travel requirements:
- This position requires field travel to visit and work on dealers 25-30% of the time.
Work schedule:
- Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and alternate Saturdays. In some instances, working overtime and during holidays is required.
This position is based out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This position does not offer relocation assistance.
