Who We're Looking For

Toyota Logistics Services (TLS) is looking for a Chief Product Owner to connect business strategy and vision, new business processes and customer needs to develop a product that is relevant, feasible, and delivers value. This role will oversee the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the user needs and preferences using human centric design in an agile framework.

As members of the leadership team, this individual will manage the entire product development process within the Logistics transformation effort. This position requires a proactive, highly motivated individual with an aptitude for creativity, critical thinking, and modeling. This person will be expected to take ownership and drive positive change.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter and relationship builder who is comfortable with ambiguity, is analytical, detail oriented and possesses the ability to work well with internal and external cross-functional teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Determining the overall short- and long-term vision of products in alignment with SCaFT initiatives.
  • Creating product road maps based on this vision and aligning with other product teams with dependencies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise
  • Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
  • Research and identify user needs to determine which features to include on products and promote ideas for product features to stakeholders.
  • Work with product owners/leads to prioritize product features/backlog items based on changing requirements
  • Primary liaison between product teams and stakeholders.
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development
  • Guide/Advise developing and reviewing of user stories
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress
  • Provide product development updates to executive management.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other Product Owners and the Transformation Management Office in the transformation initiative to ensure alignment of deliverables.
  • Responsible for delivering identified value on time
  • Oversight and management of product team.
  • Removing team blockers and issues resolution
  • Manage project resources to meet transformation milestones

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience in successfully leading teams, with 3-5 years leading project teams.
  • 7+ years experience leading digital transformations
  • Supply Chain subject matter expertise.
  • Strong proficiency in Statistical analysis tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Working knowledge of product development lifecycle
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Working knowledge of user-centered/human-centered design principles
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work with large teams

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Data Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or related field required
  • 3-5 years of Vehicle Supply Chain experience
  • 4+ years of experience in creating detailed Business Requirement Documentation
  • Strong operational business understanding, including potential impact of business decisions on various internal/external stakeholders and systems
  • Advanced understanding of best practice analysis and visualization techniques.
  • Scrum certification(s)
  • Completion of TBP
