You have experience designing knits and dresses for a luxury brand. You are creative, adaptable and enjoy coming up with new innovative silhouettes. You thrive on conceptualizing seasonal collections that seamlessly blend high fashion with commercial appeal, all while embodying the distinctive Tory Burch aesthetic.
A Day in the Life:
The Designer, Ready-to-Wear will work with the Design Director & Vice President to initiate concepts each season for the Tory Sport- Coming & Going apparel segment where they will collaborate with talented designers and cross-functional partners in the business.
- Creates sketches and product prototypes throughout the conceptual design process
- Partners with Director to develop and refine seasonal concept, materials, and palette
- Ability to come up with new innovative silhouettes within the Tory Burch aesthetic for knitwear and dresses within the "coming & going" segment.
- Responsible for upholding design integrity, high quality execution, and timeliness throughout the entire development process from concept through engineering and commercialization
- Participates in meetings with cross-functional category partners
- Adhere to seasonal and time and action calendars, ensuring that the category meets deadlines
To Land This Role:
- 5+ years of design experience with a focus on ready-to-wear/knitwear/dresses
- Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent work experience
- Must provide digital portfolio of work
- Strong taste level, research skills, ability to identify silhouettes, pattern and color within the Tory Burch aesthetic
- Strong hand sketching skills in addition to sketching technical drawings
- Ability to drape new, interesting silhouettes as well as creating interesting new finishings
- Strong working knowledge of Centric PLM, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience developing product directly with factories; understanding of development from concept through engineering
- Must be able to build all tech packs and pass specs in a detailed, organized and clear manner for factory proto sample making

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 85,000.00 USD - 120,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
