The Senior Demand Planner at TOMS will play a crucial role in leading, defining and managing all monthly forecasts for the Wholesale channels and help provide support for Global eCommerce seasonal and monthly forecasts. A key role that collaborates with Sales, Product and Finance in driving a consensus forecasting process and represents expertise in supply chain and trend-based forecasts. The Sr. Planner will monitor and provide guidance to their planner with any gaps within the forecast or process at TOMS. The role will also be focused on supporting an efficient and successful end to end planning process.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead the validation process for each forecast milestone event, provide visibility to the channel roll-up of sales, margin, and style/color productivity metrics to meet channel, region, and company goals for US and Canada wholesale and Ecommerce channels
  • Assist in setting team goals for revenue, gross margin, inventory, and style/color productivity that meet overall assigned channel/regional financial metrics
  • Generate, and publish the demand plan, and update forecast consumption. Ensure accuracy of the channel level demand plans. Maintain forecasts in Demand Planning System:
  • Manage Seasonal Ranges and plan assortment with support from Merchandising, Sales and Product
  • Drive the process for product/style ranking, collect feedback and develop top down and bottoms up forecasts (Channel, Gender, Product) for US and CA WS/Ecom channels
  • Manage YoY product and style level mix and maintain comp style mapping
  • Define and recognize in season process and opportunities
  • Oversee and support the maintenance of global size distribution within the planning system
  • Manage the core assortment and identify end of life and potential new core styles
  • Generate sample-based forecasts based on pre-orders received at each sales order deadline
  • Provide analysis to support decisions to deploy in-season promotional and markdown strategies that meet inventory and financial goals
  • Work across the matrix to insure all necessary data is available and accurately noted so financial metrics can be validated
  • Communicate risks and opportunities to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Collaborate with Merchants, Buyers, and Supply Chain Management on seasonal channel buy strategies to support product initiatives, maximize in-stock, and inventory productivity
  • Provide ongoing communication to the relevant teams/stakeholders regarding channel financial performance
  • Participate in monthly and seasonal product adoption events, sales forecast meetings, and S&OP meetings.
  • Drive demand reviews and gap closure with forecasts, and improve collaboration across teams
  • Set the direction and establishing a process that the other demand and functional planners will follow
  • Lead internal weekly reviews to improve process, drive consistency and provide updates to the team
  • Support Eyewear processes and EMEA team as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Experience
  • 5+ years of related work experience as a demand planner in a wholesale environment
  • 5+ years of experience working with SAP or ERP programs
  • 5+ years experience with SAP BI or SQL Query experience
  • 3 + years experience participating in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Meetings
  • 2+ years experience leading/mentoring more junior planners
  • Experience working with Tableau a plus

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field OR equivalent work experience
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with evolving processes and a high degree of ambiguity
  • Strong analytical capabilities; feels comfortable working with large data sets
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
  • Exceptional Follow-through skills
  • Footwear or Fashion Apparel industry highly preferred
