About the team
E-commerce's Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team responsible for maintaining a safe and trustworthy marketplace for users, sellers, and creators. Our goal is to ensure user satisfaction by implementing policies, rules, and systems that guarantee high-quality standards. The Service and Moderation Team (SMT), part of the GNE organization, is dedicated to delivering world-class service and experiences to customers, sellers, and creators globally.
As the Moderation QA Lead, you are responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and execution of quality assurance and content moderation programs. This pivotal role demands a leader who can not only envision and drive strategy but also adeptly manage projects independently and navigate through highly ambiguous spaces with agility. You are expected to lead a diverse team of professionals to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our e-commerce operations, embodying innovation, collaboration, and excellence in every facet of program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership, management and direction to a multifaceted team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in all aspects of program management.
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive quality assurance and content moderation strategies, ensuring alignment with TikTok's overall mission and values.
- Ensure seamless collaboration and integration among different teams and projects, facilitating cross-functional engagements and stakeholder alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and policies, leveraging insights and data analysis to inform decision-making and program enhancements.
- Manage resource allocation and project prioritization, ensuring the effective use of resources and timely delivery of program objectives.
- Engage with senior leadership and external partners, representing e-commerce initiatives and advocating for support and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, implementing adjustments and strategies to meet and exceed organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in program management, preferably within content moderation, quality assurance, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of professionals, managing multiple projects and initiatives across diverse operational areas.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of driving program success and innovation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of effectively navigating complex organizational structures.
- Deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies, content moderation challenges, and the digital media landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, with significant experience in program or project management roles.
- Deep understanding of moderation guidelines and strategies, including intellectual property rights and content policies.
- Your ability to work in a fast paced environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
