About the Team
In this role, you will be responsible for developing categories and the corresponding sub-categories by building a robust team, and conducting prioritization of sub-categories, leads identification, leads generation, acquisition, incubation, and performance improvement & management. You will be responsible for developing and scaling the Beauty category by building a high-performing team, identifying key sub-categories, and driving growth through merchant acquisition, incubation, and performance management. You will work cross-functionally to define and execute a competitive category strategy that drives sales, enhances customer experience, and strengthens market positioning.

1. Category Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Beauty category, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Identify high-potential brands, sellers, and product segments, and establish acquisition plans to onboard them effectively.
- Monitor and optimize category performance, ensuring growth in GMV, revenue, and market share.
2. Seller Relationship Management
- Build and manage a pipeline of strategic sellers and brands, negotiating partnerships to enhance assortment and pricing competitiveness.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key sellers to identify growth opportunities and resolve challenges.
- Drive assortment expansion by identifying gaps in product offerings and securing relevant partnerships.
3. Innovation & Competitive Advantage
- Identify and implement strategic initiatives to enhance category competitiveness, such as exclusive brand partnerships, product bundling, and promotional mechanics.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer insights to maintain category leadership.
- Continuously optimize seller engagement and operational efficiency to improve overall category health.
4. Team Management & Leadership
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring clear role definitions, performance KPIs, and career development paths.
- Foster a collaborative, agile, and results-driven team culture, encouraging innovation and accountability.
- Ensure the team is aligned with overall business priorities, driving efficiency and impact in daily operations.
- Lead team meetings, share insights, and create a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in eCommerce, category management, or business development, preferably within the Beauty industry, as well as based in Indonesia
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or above, Proficiencies in English and Bahasa Indonesian languages with strong excellency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) and can effectively handle cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong analytic, logical and problem solving skills with good attention to detail to maintain accuracy in high-pressure situations.
- Team management experience
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness when handling sensitive financial and policy-related information.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt strategies to changing business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Leadership and project management skills, with the ability to guide and mentor cross-functional teams.
- Proactive and self-starter mindset focused on continuous improvement
- Big picture thinking, structured, organized, and experienced in managing projects in different scales (planning, root cause identification, risk mitigation, synthesization, and process optimization)
- Adaptable, fast learner, highly motivated, and versatile player with some exposure in ops and commercial
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
