The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. Responsibilities
This internship provides students the opportunity to join one of our Public Policy teams where you will have the opportunity to:
- Track relevant legislation at the Federal and State levels;
- Monitor legislative hearings relevant to tech policy;
- Draft memorandums and documents related to Federal and State legislation and tech-related updates;
- Attends tech-related events;
- Assist the Public Policy team in reaching policymakers;
- And generally working with the Public Policy team to advance the goals of the company.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in public policy, political science or a related tech-policy discipline.
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduating December 2025 onwards with intention to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
- Strong sense of responsibility and interpersonal skills, a team player, and enjoys working with others in a collaborative, social environment.
