Team Introduction
TikTok-Data Science-Music team is responsible for building the music ecosystem and the artist service in Tik Tok, cooperating with all key value chains in TikTok. The goal of the team is to generate actionable insights from data and help the stakeholders to make the right decisions. Our main tasks include metrics defining, causal inference like experimentation methodology and causal discovery, feature/strategy evaluation, exploratory analysis and building some data products.
Responsibilities
- Define success metrics to measure product growth and identify problems through monitoring or forecasting.
- Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining to develop strategies for product optimizations.
- Quantify the impact of strategies through causal inference and generate actional insights through deep dive analysis.
- Partner with Product, Engineering and cross-functional teams to influence and execute product strategy.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in data acquisition, rigorous data analysis habits, mastery of basic statistical principles, and good at quantitative analysis.
- Strong learning ability and curiosity, full of interest in the Internet industry, hoping to develop in the Internet industry for a long time.
- Ability to quickly understand the business and explore the connection between business details and data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including product, operations, and R&D.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Tableau).
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments, evaluating product optimization effects, and analyzing market activities.
- Understanding of the music industry and experience with internationalization of music business.
- Ability to analyze factors affecting product improvement and growth, and develop feasible optimization plans.
- Experience in designing index systems and constructing data systems to improve data decision-making efficiency.
- Proven ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to promote and implement optimization plans that drive business growth.
