About the Team:
The Enterprise Ad Sales team works with some of the largest organizations across all categories. They are responsible for enabling advertising on the platform and connecting users with brands.
About the Role:
The Industry Business Solutions Strategist will have deep knowledge of the Retail Vertical across online advertising, consumption, and measurement. You'll use your influence and relationship-building skills to discover the business needs of our Enterprise + Growth clients and develop winning go-to-market strategies to shape how new and existing businesses grow. You are a gifted storyteller, with the ability to translate insights into clear positioning & marketing outputs that on TikTok. You anticipate how client decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the insights that shape the business vertical, understand how the vertical is showing up on TikTok to clearly articulate how TikTok can grow their business.
Responsibilities:
- Build innovative, forward-looking industry narratives, playbooks and B2B marketing outputs that address the challenges and needs of clients and agencies, assets should have a TikTok vibe, enable strategic sales conversations and inspire action
- Define strategic points of view and translate them into effective, breakthrough narratives (Presentations, one sheets, research based collateral) for Retail Specialty
- Multi-task across simultaneous projects and deadlines, collaborating with appropriate team members
- Present thought leadership narratives that are integrated into Key Account Client Meetings, Vertical Events and Client Summits
- Lead the B2B Marketing Pipeline of research and marketing needs for the Tech Vertical
- Create strategic rationale for the annual pipeline of primary research to fuel narrative releases for the Vertical
- Partner with MarSci Research + Insights, Measurement, Creative Lab, Creator Solutions to source on-platform top trends and insights that bolster TikTok's positioning
- Create Use Cases and Case Studies
- Be a strategic partner to Retail Sales Leaders
- Identify winning strategies and scale the insights throughout the Vertical to provide maximum business value to the clients to drive continuous consumption
- Be the industry expert within your vertical sales pod.
- Update Sales, Marketing, and Product teams on the latest headwinds, tailwinds and trends in the industry to inspire new ways of driving consumption for clients.
- Utilizing deep knowledge of the media buying cycle and media industry to help identify opportunities and anticipate barriers for the Vertical
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Advertising, Research & Insights, or Marketing Strategy
- Must be willing to work in Chicago, IL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct, hands-on experience and track record of influencing investment decisions within the performance/commerce advertising eco-system.
- Deep understanding of how performance investment decision-making works across brands and agencies.
- Deep understanding of competitor performance marketing offerings - pros, cons, and future plans.
- Progressive knowledge of the performance measurement ecosystem and expert opinion on how brands need to inform their measurement strategy in the post-privacy digital media era.
- Bonus points - Direct Specialty sub-category experience in Sport, Home, Pet, and/or marketplace businesses.
- Bonus points - RMN experience.
- Key Skills - Storytelling with data, narrative development, help guide TikTok commerce product development, co-build our measurement GTM w/ MarSci, senior presence, and consultative perspective.
