About the Role
As the Head of Risk Prevention for APAC, your goal is to help drive impact within the region and across T&S globally. You will manage a multi-disciplinary team of program managers focused on protecting market safety, planning & managing high risk events, and being the key point of contact for all internal teams to provide a consolidated & comprehensive T&S response to market/regional level risks. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in people management (management of managers), business management and cross functional collaboration, with a focus on building a strong organization, and streamlining cross-functional communication.

You will act as a people manager, a consensus creator, and a strategic thought partner for the TikTok Trust & Safety team and the broader stakeholders in the region. You will use your exemplary strategic, organizational and interpersonal skills to prioritize and manage multiple programs in a manner that is both efficient and aligned with the organizational strategy. You will also help maintain clear communications across offices and functional teams including Policy, Product, Data, Operations, Risk Response, Public Policy, Comms, and Legal. If you are passionate about high-level thinking, continuous improvement, program management, and on-the-ground execution, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities
- Lead Risk Prevention team in APAC consists of market program managers & PMOs
- Drive plans to ensure safety & wellbeing of the markets. Identify and prevent risks and projects manage to mitigate high risk events.
- Serve as the point of contact for cross-functional team members, handling issues and inquiries and developing action plans to address them. Consult with and educate cross-functional partners on T&S principles and market regulations.
- Assist and communicate with senior T&S leaders in decision-making, program management, and project implementation.
- Improve current T&S processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity in alignment with the global team.
- Anticipate and manage organisational resource needs.
- Help with the creation of company-wide presentations, T&S org updates, and other important metrics reports.
- Create and leverage a trusted network of key internal stakeholders to tackle strategic challenges.
- This role will involve frequent international travel.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experienced leader in business transformation and transversal project coordination with significant people management experience within the global technology or internet industry.
- Clear level of knowledge and expertise across Online Regulation, specific to content and safety in APAC and globally.
- Significant experience in management of complex program management, strategic planning, business process improvement, performance management, and/or change management.
- In-depth experience in direct team management as well as organizing and directing decision-making across multiple teams and departments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Adept at handling sensitive information and situations with care and confidence. Proficient in leading from behind the scenes and communicating diplomatically with a variety of personality types.
- Highly entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to react well under pressure and ambiguity. Proactively anticipates and responds to opportunities and problems before others notice them.
- Proven ability to rapidly identify problems, thoroughly analyze them, then develop and deliver pragmatic solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience directly in Trust & Safety or a comparable technical field or complex global org.
- Skilled in preparing presentations, actionable data and strategic insights.
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
