About
The Global Trust and Safety Communications team at TikTok develops initiatives to build public trust in our approach to platform safety, integrity, and privacy, from policies to moderation and product features to partnerships. The team partners closely with Trust & Safety, Product, Privacy, and Public Policy colleagues along with other cross-function teams, to provide strategic counsel on the development of strategies that protect the TikTok platform and community.
Responsibilities
- Develop global communications initiatives to build trust with our community and other stakeholders in our work to promote platform safety, privacy, and transparency.
- Support and advance TikTok's global safety and privacy reputation, including the creation of messaging docs, blog posts, speaking materials, pitches, statements, talking points, assets, and other materials.
- Drive transparency communications initiatives, including TikTok's transparency reports, Transparency Center, Transparency and Accountability Centers, and drive ongoing comms activities to amplify and drive awareness of this information.
- Support a wide-range of trust and safety and privacy issues in APAC and globally.
- Maintain relationships with with relevant media in APAC.
- Empower market PR teams to consistently and accurately tell stories to build trust in TikTok's approach to moderation, policies, and features.
- Support spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, presentations, and other speaking engagements.
- Works collaboratively with Trust and Safety, Product, Marketing, Legal, Public Policy, and other teams to provide communications counsel and support
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills
- Experience working on trust and safety issues at a social media or video platform
- Experience developing proactive PR campaigns on a global scale
- A self-starter who is motivated, takes initiative, and works well in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with short deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong crisis comms experience preferred
- Able to respond to and collaborate on a range of situations with empathy and a people-first mindset
