The TikTok Open Platform team is on a mission to build a platform to bridge content, people and business in TikTok eco-system. We focus on building cross-platform features for both developers and TikTok users, including APIs, SDKs and InApp services. We also actively build strong connections with developers with our efforts on building developers.tiktok.com, open source projects and developer communities.

Responsibilities:
- Design new massive-scale software systems that demand low latency, high reliability, and resilience against disaster.
- Develop new initiatives to improve ease of development and speed of adding features.
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to identify new investments, solve key problems, and deliver high-quality work in rapid product development.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experienced in building backend services for large-scale consumer-facing applications.
- Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Java, Go, C++, Python.
- Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms.
- Have good team communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related major with 2+ years working experience.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $106400 - $237500 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
