Description
The Apple Services Engineering organization is seeking an expert, self-motivated development engineer with a great understanding for how to manage cloud resources. In this role, you will conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability, as well as participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to quota management systems in production environments. This role will primarily focus on implementing robust quota enforcement mechanisms to ensure efficient and simple resource allocation across infrastructure at Apple. The role also includes working closely with engineering managers, partners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. The successful candidate should have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and the ability to drive sophisticated and challenging projects. An ability to thrive under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role. This candidate should be experienced working cross-functionally, mentoring others, and leading projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, EE or related field - or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of backend development experience
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Golang and Java.
- Proven experience as a backend software engineer, with a focus on capacity management, infrastructure, or similar roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Knowledge of networking and distributed systems concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
