Lead Cybersecurity Engineer

The Lead Info Security Engineer will participate in the activities of a small, expert team that develops robust technical solutions and advanced analytics to enable preventive threat detection efforts.  This role is part of the Security Technology Engineering team which is responsible for collaborating and partnering with various Business Units (BUs) and stakeholders across the organization to manage external and insider threat detection, mitigation, investigation and response efforts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  •   Implement and maintain security solutions supporting the insider threat program.      

  • Implement monitoring mechanisms to ensure availability, integrity and confidentiality of the solutions.

   Participate and contribute in meeting such as Architecture Review Board (ARB), service delivery, weekly team meetings. 

  •   Build and maintain operation and configuration documentation and create and maintain diagrams.  

  •   Work with Cybersecurity risk and security operation teams to enhance the security posture.      

  •    Work with vendors to identify capabilities that would support process automation.   

  • Conducting proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies.

  •   Knowledge and experience with information security controls, infrastructure and implementation techniques.

    Required Qualifications

    • 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
    • Experience with implementing and maintaining at least 2 of the following technologies:
      • Data Loss Prevention
      • Container security
      • User Behavior Analytics and Insider Threat
      • Kubernetes
      • Computer forensics
      • Splunk SIEM
      • Linux/UNIX administration

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree. 
    • Experience with cloud security, cloud provider ecosystems (Amazon AWS/Microsoft Azure).
    • Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Cloud Compute (Twistlock), StackRox, Aqua.
    • Experience with managing Symantec Data Loss Prevention or Zscaler.
    • Certification CISSP, CEH, GCIH, AWS Architecture.
    • Highly proficient in engineering and debugging of complex IT systems
    • Expertise in Windows, Linux, UNIX administration.
    • Expertise in network administration of load balancers, firewalls.
    • Programming experience with Python and shell.
    • Knowledge about container design standards, patterns and best practices.

    Potential Salary: $137,700.00 USD

    Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
