Leidos is seeking a broadly experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join the Defensive Cyber Operations team within our Digital Modernization Sector.
You will be able to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects in an effort to support the new engineering projects, technical refresh, new system improvement and modernization activities, and other major changes that occur. The successful candidate will be expected to advise and guide the technical staff in current and new technology and solutions and how they can be applied to both current "as built" configurations as well as integrated into our long-range modernization plan and vision for the program. The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for leading efforts pertaining to the development designs, estimating costs, and executing plans that follow regulatory standards.

Primary Responsibilities
• Develop highly innovative solutions to resolve complex problems involving limited and disparate information through the application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation, and integration of best practices.
• Serve as a technical SME interfacing with Executives, PMs and division leadership to make comprehensive recommendations and develop executable strategies.
• Advise and support engineering requirements of large-scale systems, major elements, and interfacing systems that are part of a complex network with geographically distributed components.
• Communicate and interface with Leidos Program Management, Technical leads and Subject Matter Experts to provide Program status and to jointly present, lead, and work program issues, and technical solutions.
• Ensure that assessment of new performance work requests include all stakeholders, are properly sized, and submitted on time to the customer per the required contractual delivery date.
• Ensure that all authorized performance work requests are completed on time and within budget, the implementation is ready for deployment to customer test organization or production and integrated into the operations and maintenance baseline.
• Understand all applicable performance standards and ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceed so no monetary disincentive is levied against the contract.
• Provide engineering and technical expertise on all issues, performance work requests, system improvement efforts, and operations and maintenance activities.
• Collaborates with stakeholders, and integrator team members to bring solution options and drive decisions on the way ahead to meet customer needs.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with Leidos partners, key vendors, and within Leidos to seek, qualify and leverage the best ideas, solutions and models to meet customer needs.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Management (IM), Information Technology, or Engineering with a minimum of 8+ years relevant technical experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of stakeholders
• Must have demonstrated experience identifying, developing, and implementing engineering change solutions and new technology and solutions on a large enterprise national scale.
• Demonstrated experience in all phases of a project lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a customer environment collaboratively through constraints to meet mission milestones.
• Breadth of experience and/or expertise in Wide Area Networks, Zero Trust, Cyber Security Incident Handling and Countermeasures, NOC Operations, System Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Service Delivery, and 'as a Service' models.
• Must have proven track record of critical thinking and developing creative problem and hard problem solutions with a focus on outcome-based delivery of meaningful innovations.
• Experience identifying, developing, and implementing engineering change solutions with new technology and solutions on a large enterprise/national scale.
• Experience with large programs, and performing technology assessments, trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and creating capability roadmaps.
• Experience with Network Operation Center, Defensive Cyber Operations, and Data Center operational processes.
• A working knowledge of data analytics, algorithms, and modeling to solve analytically complex operational challenges.
• Demonstrated background in automation, and related technologies as they are applied to large Wide Area Networks, Cloud Hosting, Multi-Cloud Operations, Defensive Cyber Operations, and Data Center Operations.
• Self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes with the ability to work independently and in teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in computer science (CS), Information Management (IM), Information Technology, or Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years relevant technical experience.
• CISM Certification.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification with Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) or Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) concentration.
• Experience in multi-cloud design and architecture.
• Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography assumptions and their applications to quantum cryptography.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
