This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role is located onsite at our TIAA office in Charlotte, NC, USA but will currently be remote.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst analyzes business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working under minimal supervision, this job designs system solutions that are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job also recommends improvements to the existing IT systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirement gathering, and defines scope and objectives of each project.
- Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Translates business requirements into application requirements, and works with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
- Engages client teams and explains moderately complex initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
- Estimates the costs of various system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
- Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.

Cyber Business Analyst
This individual will lead and coordinate business analyst activities across several works streams within the Cybersecurity organization with focus in our Security Technologies team and reporting in to the Office of Cybersecurity and Customer Engagement.
Objectives/Results
- Support Business Analyst activities throughout the project lifecycle, which may include both business and technical analysis, documentation of design and validation of solutions
- Assists work stream leads in coordinating discussion across the cyber organization, to develop and document standards and metrics.
- Provides project coordination for smaller workstreams and activities within the cybersecurity portfolio.
- Support initiatives directly aligned to the advancement of delivery capabilities within the cybersecurity organization.
- Facilitate cross team collaboration (in partnership with the PM/Scrum Master), bridging and aligning control teams within cybersecurity, as well as external stakeholder teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for establishing and documenting solution requirements (technical and non-technical).
- Responsible for drafting presentations to be presented to Senior Leadership
- Responsible for coordinating with external teams to support stakeholder engagement
- Support project and/or scrum teams with Business and Technical analysis activities
- Support definition of stories/uses cases and documenting business and technical requirements
- Documenting process flows and SOPs to show end-to-end life cycle management
Required Skills:
- 3 or more years of Business Analysis, Project Coordination and/or Data Analysis experience.
- Experience with Metrics definition and data analysis, including establishment of KPIs/Performance measures.
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Working experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Project)
- Experience supporting a business analyst function in both waterfall and Agile teams
- Experience with coordinating smaller projects/workstreams.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related fields)
- Experience working in JIRA
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with a Cybersecurity organization and familiarity with industry cyber platforms (e.g. SailPoint, CyberArk, Tanium, Crowdstrike, Splunk, etc.)
- Experience working with IT Risk and the development of documented standards and controls
- Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Financial Services industry experience
