Senior Digital Press Operator

Job Description

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to comprehend job tickets and input information into production control systems.
  • Operating a Konica Minolta KM-1e digital sheetfed press and KM 6100 toner press
  • Operation of folder and booklet making and other production equipment
  • Build strong professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Understanding and following the weekly production schedule
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained, auditing for PM compliance, and troubleshooting issues to keep equipment running.
  • Audit jobs for completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring safe work practices and the use of PPE
  • Assist team leader in daily operations (including production/maintenance of press equipment)
  • Assist team leader in providing guidance, training, and leadership to team members.
  • Assist team leader in proactive use of performance development, and in the development of team members (including giving feedback on a regular basis)
  • Act in capacity of team leader on occasion.

  • Digital press experience preferred, but not required.
  • Machine operating experience
  • High School Diploma required, trade school or college education is a plus.
  • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude.
  • Proven track record of being a positive role model, excellent performance, and attendance record.
  • Ability to involve others in problem solving and decision making to improve productivity, efficiency, and morale.
  • Ability to coach others to improve performance or personal interactions.
  • Ability to accept/give responsibility and willingness to be held accountable or hold others accountable for their work.
