Job Description

The Washington Post is hiring an open-minded business professional to fill our Finance Operations Analyst role. This finance-based role will be the primary person to research our business partners, create accounts, review contracts and analyze data for the purpose of granting credit terms. Research is at the heart of this role and the best candidate will be someone who enjoys taking a deep dive into the background and history of our clients and potential constituents. The best candidate for this fast-paced position will be an individual who enjoys researching, auditing account setups, and providing strong credit & risk guidance to the business. You will maintain accounts for print, digital and self-serve platforms, help to resolve account setup discrepancies and make recommendations based on data that you have gathered. You will work with a small tight knit group on team and individual projects to enhance our fact-finding research processes, billing, invoicing, and customer service within our deadline driven environment. This position is instrumental in the finance team's success and reports to the Manager, Finance.

Responsibilities-
  • Audits newly created accounts for SAP and invoice/tear sheet platform setup.
  • Research, collect and analyze client public information, credit report and financials to provide recommendations for credit and other business-related decisions
  • Review new credit applications for credit limit approval and research existing accounts for credit limits updates.
  • Create, Parent, and/or link accounts as needed based on new partnership requests or credit extension.
  • Analyze daily reports of account setup by sales/service to ensure accurate billing and proper credit extension where warranted.
  • Liaise with customers to validate and correct client master account data as needed
  • Process and respond to emails in dropbox with 48 hrs.
  • Reviews and assign sales reps to customer (agency/advertising) accounts
  • Setup and manage ECRM system for customer tear sheets and invoice
  • Provide credit references in writing as needed.
  • Lead projects with management to audit and correct account setups, limits, team assignments, etc. as needed to ensure updated and accurate data on all client accounts as business alignment changes.
  • Analyze and assist in documenting workflows and end to end processes for finance operations teams to improve efficiencies.
Requirements -
  • 4+years' experience in Business, Accounting and Credit Analysis
  • Analyze large volumes of complex data and presenting comprehensive analysis
  • 3+Years of experience with account management for multiple products on variable billing cycles preferred
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Provide professional customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, individual projects and hold training sessions to partners.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Benefits may vary based on the job, full-time or part-time schedule, location, and collectively bargained status.

The salary range for this position is:
64,300.00 - 96,500.00 USD Annual

The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
