Job Description
The Washington Post is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to join our subscriptions marketing team. You will execute strategies to increase customer engagement and conversion, enhancing customer experiences and maximizing conversion rates. You will collaborate with the product team and the Acquisition Manager to test and improve registration, engagement, and conversion strategies.
You have a keen attention to detail and possess a comprehensive skill set that integrates technical, creative, and analytical abilities. You will collaborate closely with product, analytics, and brand marketing partners to execute on acquisition strategy across all channels.
This role reports to the Manager of Subscriber Acquisitions.

- Ensure performance goals are consistently achieved through daily monitoring of key metrics and writing campaign reports that inform strategy across all channels and deliver results.
- Ideate, write, and share creative and technical implementation briefs that generate design assets and communicate strategy for global acquisition campaigns.
- Support A/B testing initiatives to refine segmentation tactics, design choices, and pricing strategies across the site, emails, and apps.
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) and auditing of email and onsite implementations to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Assist in the execution of automated journeys that drive engagement and conversion for new products and initiatives.
- 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, conversion rate optimization, customer communications, or customer engagement, preferably with subscription-based business models.
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills with the ability to balance rigorous attention to detail with swift execution.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude with experience in marketing technology tools (CDPs, ESPs, eCommerce platforms, or landing page platforms) with an understanding of best practices as it relates to campaign implementation.
- Knowledge of general UX design and HTML.

The salary range for this position is:
64,300.00 - 96,500.00 USD Annual
The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
