JOB SUMMARY

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and minor building maintenance. Ensuring safe and efficient building operations while assisting maintenance mechanics in routine troubleshooting and repairs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs basic preventative maintenance and routine repairs on various in-house systems to include conveyor, material handling equipment, tagging machines, storage equipment, vehicles, etc. Assists in troubleshooting and lubricates, adjusts and replaces parts.
  • Performs maintenance services in two or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical, heating, etc. may perform basic maintenance duties such as minor construction, landscaping, cleaning, etc.
  • Assists maintenance mechanics in major equipment repairs, electrical repairs and installations in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisitions new supplies and equipment as necessary.
  • Performs special projects or duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum High School Diploma or higher
  • Vocational training in basic preventative maintenance is preferred
  • Six months to one year experience in a preventative maintenance capacity with demonstrated mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Be flexible with changing hours, demands, and priorities

This position has a starting pay range of $21.00 to $22.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
