Job Description:

As part of the Distribution Planning team (DP&A), this key role reports into Logistics Manager - Production Planning and is based in the Watford Head Office and requires 3 days minimum in Watford.

Accountable for executing production plans in partnership with Merchandising under direction from the Production Planning Manager, whilst directing and supporting the PC's and Logistics teams with operational challenges and opportunities. This role supports the TJX Europe Distribution function to deliver its goals and objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute the delivery of weekly production SLA's for all Regions and Banners in partnership with Merchandising and the wider Distribution network, up to AVP level
  • Track performance of delivery of weekly production SLA's and justifications in order to represent Distribution's SLA performance to the business
  • Lead the production planning calls with PCs, Logistics and Merchandising partners, challenging appropriately, to deliver weekly flow and mix at department level
  • Partner with Merchandising and Logistics to ensure availability of merchandise is consistent and enables delivery of weekly SLA's
  • Support the execution of business events and seasonal priorities through partnering with Merchandising, Logistics and PCs, up to AVP level
  • Manage and track the ownership, allocation and delivery of TBM/Store Stocks production within the Distribution function and represent to the Buying/Merchandising function - partnering across all levels up to AVP in Buying, Merchandising and Distribution
  • Identify, understand and react to Supply Chain trends and their associated impacts to either resolve issues or find planning solutions
  • Manage the DP&A Execution Inbox and ensure emails are responded to and cleared in a timely manner
  • Deliver one point of Distribution contact to the Merchandising function - answer/support queries from Merchandising and Buying (as and when relevant)
  • Identify and understand risk and opportunity in the PC's and across the Supply Chain, provide direction and escalate as needed
  • Build and develop relationships with business partners to engage and influence across various levels within the business, up to AVP level
  • Understand and implement best practice with business partners, continuously review these practices to ensure relevance
  • Train, share and teach technical knowledge and experience within the DP&A team, the Distribution function and the Buying and Merchandising functions.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Retail supply chain planning experience with an understanding of the off-price model
  • Comfortable operating in the grey as well as in a flexible and changing retail landscape
  • Strong analytical mind and knowledge in Excel to be able to interpret complex data and present as relevant information, tailored to the specific audience
  • Ability to identifying problems and actively drive for solutions
  • Ability to work on own initiative and seek continuous improvement
  • Ability to lead large group discussions/debates with peers and seniors, actively sharing views and voicing opinions in group environments
  • Able to build and maintain impactful relationships across diverse teams and influence to drive results
  • Resilient and patient in coaching cross-functionally
  • Clear communication skills and ability to influence both peers and seniors across the business
  • Good organisation and presentation skills
