DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced transportation team lead to join our team in our Scoresby office in Australia and reports to the Transportation Manager Asia Pacific. The role be first point of contact for the Logistics service providers and internal stakeholders and managing high volume of inbound international Air, Courier & Ocean shipments into site . This role will also be working very closely with Material planner, CGSA team and Warehouse operations on daily basis

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Managing shipments (FCL, LCL, Air, and Courier) from Global Suppliers for on time delivery to the Cummins South Pac Sites in Australia
  • Shipment coordination with internal stakeholders and freight forwarders on delivery schedule
  • Ensure full set of documentation of shipments is in compliance with Customs regulations before import into the site
  • Working closely with the Quality team to review the damage to receiving goods
  • Manage shipment claims related to forwarders' damage or shipment discrepancy and liaise with insurance providers for claims reporting
  • Maintain the Master data tracker to ensure that all the shipments are up to date and visible to stakeholders
  • Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
  • Execute the daily operational logistics processes

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • 4 Plus years work experience in an Import logistics role would be preferred
  • Experience in managing high volume of inbound and outbound flow
  • Good Knowledge of Import/Export shipping procedures and documentation will be critical
  • Experience using Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI would be preferred
