Job Description

The word press developer will be part of a dynamic creative services team that strengthens the enterprises engagements with several external and internal audiences including prospective patients for clinical trials.

Working collaboratively in diverse teams, the word press web developer will create forward-thinking and thoughtful web experiences by creating, developing, enhancing, and maintaining web content and tools to support online global outreach. The WordPress Developer is responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and ensuring brand consistency across the UI among other duties. Must submit portfolio of work samples to be considered.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of WordPress and is comfortable working with PHP.
  • Proficient in front-end and back-end WordPress development.
  • Experience building complex, large-scale projects, as well as quick turn assignments.
  • Proven, demonstrable knowledge of standards-compliant, responsive, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to maintain and improve new or existing sites.
  • Can set up and configure a local development and staging environment.
  • Demonstrated experience converting statis designs into fully responsive websites using current trends, techniques, and patterns.
  • Identify, debug, and solve issues as they arise
  • Strong understanding of usability and accessibility issues across all device types.
  • Skilled with Figma, Sketch and/or Adobe Creative Suite for preparing and extracting assets.
  • Ability to maintain legacy code written by other developers, including bug fixes.
  • Experience integrating external software libraries and APIs into projects.
  • Experience with Git for version control.
  • Tests before they push. Has a keen eye for details and makes recommendations when necessary.
  • Considers performance and page speed when developing.
  • Is comfortable providing accurate timing estimates and communicates openly and effectively.
  • A good eye for clean design and makes necessary adjustments to ensure consistencies.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively and participates and is present during meetings.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years Word Press developer experience; 5 years web development
  • Ability to make a HTTPS redirect and A/CNAME records via DNSs
  • Purchase and manage study specific URL's
  • Able to install a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on a webpage/landing page
  • Attention to detail who takes pride in their work product
  • Deadline driven problem solver
  • Curious creative and collaborator with strong communication skills
  • Understands WordPress themes and principles of custom themes

  • CSS via SASS or another CSS preprocessor
