This Position is located on-site at our Pittsburgh, PA Office.

Discover Impactful Work:

As part of the Corporate Transportation team, you will foster the team's analytical objectives through data development, data visualization, process automation, and business analysis. Areas of focus will include transportation reporting, network optimization, and contract negotiation support.

A day in the Life:

  • Use software applications (SQL Server 50%, MS Power BI 20%, Power Apps 10%, Power Automate 10%) to develop department-wide tools for transportation reporting metrics.
  • Sophisticated Excel manipulation of data for ad-hoc requests
  • Analyze shifts, spikes, and trends using reporting tools to generate cost savings initiatives and optimize the network
  • Generate cost/benefit analysis for operations re-engineering projects.
  • Collaborate to complete quantitative analysis to tackle problems, overcome constraints and measure the impact of project initiatives.
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports for: service, bi-weekly updates, monthly business reviews, staff meetings, etc.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus 5 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business related field preferred (logistics, quantitative business analysis, management information systems, or related field of study)

Experience

  • Understanding of Relational Databases
  • Interest and demonstrated skills in Analytics/IT/Operational Background also considered

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Attention to detail and prioritization.
  • Provide vision and architecture mentorship towards building a data solution
  • Ability to analyze, find commonality, and tell stories with data.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution.
  • Ability to communicate at various levels of the organization optimally including business partners, corporate divisions and business units.
  • Excel, Access, SQL, PowerBI
  • Desire to learn.
