Position Location: Incheon, Korea

Job Description:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Team Leader. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities while leading and developing a direct report within the finance team.

What you will do:

  • Accounting: Oversee all accounting operations including the maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, treasury, and financial reporting.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support for various projects and initiatives.
  • Lead and Develop: Supervise, mentor, and develop a finance team member, ensuring their growth and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in Finance area, and 1+ years demonstrated ability leading teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and in ERP systems.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills that are adaptable to the appropriate level given the audience (presentation, verbal, written)
  • Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results.
  • Collaborative and positive demeanor with desire to work in a demanding, fast paced, and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Korean.
